Strategy
Non-agency RMBS: The investment objective of the strategy is to purchase undervalued assets and earn returns through interest income and potential capital appreciation. Purchased assets will consist of senior and super-senior tranches of residential mortgage-backed securities in the first lien mortgage “Alt-A” or Prime sector.
PTIA uses a relative value approach to analyze a variety of factors that drive returns while controlling risk. These factors include:
- Collateral quality
- Structure
- Credit support
- Market Conditions
- Flows
In building portfolios, PTIA diversifies risks that arise from position sizes, geography, ratings, duration, deal structure, collateral values, and mortgage issuer and services. The investment process is enhanced by a significant investment which analyze market and security characteristics and provide portfolio and security level analytics.
