Rick Sterioti

Managing Director, Marketing & Client Service

Rick has principal responsibility for the development, planning and execution of PTIA’s global marketing and client service strategy. In this role, he will focus on strengthening the existing marketing, client communication and reporting capabilities, as well as provide strategic direction to continued development of the PTIA brand.

Rick brings over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry, including eight years of hedge fund-specific work across several firms and diverse investment products. Prior to joining PTIA, he took on similar roles with C2J Investments, LLC and Stafford Asset Management, LLC in Chicago, as well as for a large, multi-strategy hedge fund where he was directly involved in organizational and product development, institutional capital raising efforts, and investor relations. Prior to his time spent in the alternatives industry, Rick spent over 10 years as an equity options trader and a founding partner of a Chicago Board Options Exchange-based market-making firm.

Rick earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Eastern Illinois University where he was a four-year Division 1 baseball player. Rick is also actively involved in coaching elite-level youth baseball in the Chicago area.

Jeffrey W. Smith, CFA

Managing Director

Jeff focuses on building and maintaining new client relationships. He has extensive experience developing relationships in the institutional pension, endowment and foundation, consultant and family office markets.

Prior to joining Performance Trust, Jeff developed and managed institutional client relationships and business development teams at several highly-regarded multi-product global asset management firms, including Pyramis, a Fidelity Investments company; UBS Global Asset Management; and Keystone Investments (now Evergreen). These roles have also included responsibilities as operating committee member and business unit president. Prior to that, he was with State Street Bank in global custody. Jeff started his career with Continental Bank (now Bank of America) and Chase in cash management services.

Jeff received his BA from Wheaton College in 1977 and his MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago in 1981. He is active in the CFA Society of Chicago and serves in a leadership role as Advisory Group chair.

James P. Richter, CAIA

Managing Director

Jim focuses on building and maintaining new client relationships.

Prior to joining PTIA, Jim worked at Performance Trust Capital Partners as an institutional sales representative. In 2003, he started his own company which advised depository institutions on their fixed-income portfolios. In 2007, Jim rejoined Performance Trust Investment Advisors to focus on marketing and sales of funds. He has spoken at national conferences sponsored by banking, financial management and regulatory organizations, and has written web-based training curriculum for institutional investors.

Jim graduated from the University of Illinois-Chicago with a degree in Finance, and is Series 7 and 66 registered.

Patt Long

Business Development

Patt focuses on building and maintaining new client relationships within our mutual fund products and separately managed accounts.

Prior to joining PTIA, Patt was an inside wholesaler from 2002-2007 with First Trust Portfolios, LP, offering financial products, which included Unit Trusts, Variable Annuities, ETFs, Closed-End Funds and Managed Accounts, to investment advisors. Previously, she was an independent contractor for several companies that provided information to life and health insurance customers to help them make informed policy and claim decisions.

Patt graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a major in Communications, and is Series 7, 63 and 65 registered.

Tim Gollogly

Business Development

Tim focuses on building and maintaining new client relationships.

Prior to joining PTIA, Tim was in charge of Institutional Investor Peer Group Discussions. At these summits, Tim led discussions with affluent Family Offices, Pension Funds, and Foundation Endowments to address current topics in investing.

Tim graduated from Marist College Prep in Chicago, before attending Eastern Illinois University with a focus in Finance.

Chris DuBos

Business Development

Chris focuses on building and maintaining new client relationships.

Prior to joining PTIA, Chris spent over two years as an analyst and sales representative at our affiliate company, Performance Trust Capital Partners. Chris has been in the financial services industry since 2004, bringing a wealth of experience in implementing and managing various investments and 401(k) plans utilizing mutual funds and bond funds. His background gives him distinctive insight into the Performance Trust Total Return™ methodology, specifically in mortgage-backed securities. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Chris worked in the Aerospace Engineering & Defense division of The Boeing Company. Chris graduated from Wheaton College, and is Series 7 and 66 registered.

Elizabeth M. Smith

Client Service

Elizabeth focuses on supporting the business development team in building and maintaining new client relationships.

Prior to joining PTIA, Elizabeth led the Investments Division for investor forums in the institutional investor and private wealth management sectors. During this time, her role was to perform extensive market research, communicate frequently with senior investment executives in multiple markets, and to generate and maintain relationships with clients. Prior to that, Elizabeth started her career at the John Marshall Law School in their Alumni Office as an assistant to the Director of Alumni Relations.

Elizabeth is a candidate for a BA in history from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
